Corrigan Suspension Bridge stretches through the rainforest canopy, affording spectacular views of the lush fern gully on the forest floor below.

Corrigan Suspension Bridge loop is a 2.7 kilometre lightly trafficked loop trail located near Balook, Gippsland that features a river and is good for all skill levels. The trail offers a number of activity options and is accessible year-round.

This short loop meanders out to the Corrigan Suspension Bridge, nestled within a pocket of South Gippsland. It is a wet sclerophyll forest and temperate rainforest in which the dinosaurs once roamed. You’ll pass by several tall Myrtle Beech trees, a slow-growing tree that has seen more than 1,000 years of life, and are a remnant descendent of the extensive Ancient Gondwana Beech forests dating back around 20 million years ago that covered most of South-Eastern Australia.

Along this trail, you will also hear the dynamic calls of the Superb Lyrebird ring through the lush forest.
