An historic curved jetty

The Long Jetty stretches 800 metres out to the waters of Corner Inlet. Once used as a base for industrial vessels, the jetty is now used solely for pedestrians

This wharf dates back to 1938 and was used commercially but is now just for walking and fishing boats. It is 800 metres long and stretches out into Corner Inlet and is curved to provided the jetty at the deepest part of the channel.

The entrance is well signed with historical information. The Port Welshpool Long Jetty is owned by the Victorian State government and Gippsland Ports is the Local Port Manager .

The Long Jetty can be found in the very beautiful town of Port Welshpool which is a scenic coastal town located between the dairying community of Toora and historic Port Albert, Gippsland. The Strzelecki Ranges are to the north of town, while Wilsons Promontory is within an hour by road.
